Objectives
- 1. to coordinate and supervise research activities
- 2. to carry out the overall administrative and financial management of the project
- 3. to manage contacts with the EU Commission
- 4. to manage the new knowledge generated by the project
- 5. to manage and implement the EU contract and the consortium agreement
- 6. to monitor quality and timing of project results and to resolve conflicts
- 7. to establish effective internal and external communication procedures
Description of work
Task 1.1 Technical work coordination and reporting
The Coordinator, working closely with the Steering Committee, will coordinate research activities and periodical technical reporting (6 & 18 month mini activity reports), detailed yearly management reports.
Task 1. 2 Organisation of kick-off and periodical meetings
The Coordinator, assisted by the Project Manager, will organize, implement and follow up a kick-off meeting and periodical meetings on a yearly-basis. All meetings shall be followed up with minutes.
Task 1.3 Overall legal and contractual management, including preparation of consortium agreement
The Coordinator and the Project Manager will manage and implement the contract with the European Commission and draw up a Consortium Agreement which will regulate relationships among the partners.
Task 1.4 Financial and administrative management
The Coordinator, assisted by the Project Manager, will manage EC contribution and distribute funds among partners according to the rules established by the partners in the Consortium Agreement.
Task 1.5 Financial reporting/audits
The Coordinator, assisted by the Project Manager, will collect cost statements and audit certificates and submit them to the European Commission, together with project reports and deliverables.
Task 1.6 Monitoring of project activities and work progress
On the basis of periodical reports the Coordinator and the Steering Committee will monitor progress and results achieved by the project and, if necessary, revise and adjust the programme of activities accordingly
Task 1.7 Coordination of knowledge management and other innovation-related activities
The Coordinator and the Steering Committee will deal with all matters related to access rights, protection of knowledge generated by the project and possible exploitation of project results. Costs related to the co-ordination of research activities have been included in the RTD
