Workplane - WORKPACKAGE 7

University of Bologna

Objectives

  • The aim of the work package is to define policy recommendations based upon an integrated, international view on the research results of the national project partners. To ensure the success of the project, dissemination plans will be developed by the FRIDA consortium.

Description of work

Task 7.1 Plan for using and disseminating the knowledge.

The plan will detail the exploitation strategy of the research results and the dissemination means. It will be prepared at the project start and updated every year, in order to be consistent with findings along research activities.

Task 7.2 Definition of project image and preparation of dissemination material.

A project logo and a coordinated set of project tools (e.g. templates for presentations, reports, etc.) will be created. A project brochure, to be used in the different dissemination occasions (meetings, conferences, etc.), will be prepared. The project status will be updated periodically through the following milestones:

  • 1) 2 mini-reports on project status (month 6 and 18)
  • 2) 2 policy briefings on emerging implications for public policy (month 6 and 18)
  • 3) Mid-Term report in month 12
  • 4) Final overall report in month 24

Task 7.3 Dissemination of project results though publications and participation to conferences.

This task collects traditional dissemination tools such as the publication of technical and research papers in well-known scientific journals, magazines, newspapers, and the presentation of results at conferences, seminars, workshops, through speeches, papers or posters. The FIRDA web site will be another useful tool for this task: it will allow to share non confidential information with interested target groups. In particular we expect the following outputs:

  • 1) 1 scientific paper per partner per year. These papers will be posted in working paper format on the FRIDA website before being submitted to international refereed journal.
  • 2) 1 international conference presentation per partner per year.

Task 7.4 Setting up of the FRIDA web site.

A web site with a part open to the public and one internal to the project for continuous exchange of results and information will be set up. A private area will allow to share confidential information among partners and facilitate the collaboration of the consortium. In addition, public pages will ensure sharing with interested groups non-confidential project results.

Task 7.5 Summary and integration of national reports.

The results will be analyzed in consideration of consequences for science policy actors. Formulation of policy recommendations (international and EU level). The policy recommendation will be organized as follows:

  • 1) 1 national policy report for each partner
  • 2) 1 cross-comparative policy report

Task 7.6 Organization of two scientific workshops and one final International Conference.

The 2nd scientific workshop in Brussels and the final conference is aimed at EU policy-makers and other European level stakeholders.
